Terms of Service

Effective for accounts created on or after the date shown at the bottom of this page. Pending final review by counsel before public launch.

1. Who we are and what JodiVibes is

JodiVibes is a marketplace operated by UrbanMove Services Pvt Ltd (CIN U49224UP2025PTC229800), a company incorporated in India (“UrbanMove”, “we”, “us”). JodiVibes connects Customers with independent Companions for platonic attendance at public events — weddings, corporate functions, family occasions, public gatherings, and similar. JodiVibes is a booking platform, not a party to the arrangement between a Customer and a Companion, and not an employer of any Companion.

JodiVibes is not a dating, escort, matchmaking or companionship-for-romantic-purposes service. Profiles, chats, bookings and in-person conduct that frame the relationship as romantic, sexual or dating-adjacent are prohibited under these Terms and the Community Guidelines, and are actively screened for.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, as either a Customer or a Companion.
  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
  • Companions must complete phone verification and submit a government-ID photograph and a live selfie for manual review before their profile is listed. See Section 8 (Verification) and our Data Protection & Your Rights page for how that information is handled.
  • One account per person. Accounts are non-transferable.
  • We may refuse, suspend or terminate an account at our discretion for violation of these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or applicable law.

3. Bookings, payments and escrow

A booking is a fixed-price agreement for a Companion’s attendance at a specified event, venue, date, time and duration. The price shown at checkout is the total the Customer pays, made up of the Companion’s stated rate, a platform fee, and applicable GST.

  • Payment is collected upfront, in full, through a licensed payment aggregator regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. UrbanMove does not hold Customer funds directly.
  • Funds are held in escrow until the event concludes, plus a short post-event hold window, after which they are released to the Companion unless a dispute has been raised.
  • If a dispute is raised before release, funds remain held until an UrbanMove administrator resolves it (see Section 6).
  • A booking can only be created for a start time at least a defined minimum lead time in the future, and for a duration within the platform’s stated minimum and maximum, both shown at the time of booking.

4. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation and refund amounts are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In summary: a Customer cancelling with sufficient notice before the event receives a full refund; cancelling later receives a partial refund; a Companion who cancels late or does not show up results in a full refund to the Customer and a strike against the Companion’s account.

5. Conduct, safety and public venues

Every booking must take place at a public venue. Private residences, hotel rooms and similarly non-public locations are not permitted destinations for a booking, and bookings are screened at the time they are created to enforce this. Full conduct rules are set out in our Community Guidelines, which form part of these Terms. Serious violations — harassment, coercion, safety threats, impersonation or fraud — result in immediate, permanent removal from the platform.

An in-app SOS control is available during an active booking to alert our safety team. In an emergency, always contact local emergency services first (112 in India).

6. Disputes between users

Either party to a booking may raise a dispute before escrow release. Raising a dispute freezes the held funds until an UrbanMove administrator reviews the booking record, messages and any submitted evidence, and decides to release the funds to the Companion or refund the Customer. This administrative review is intended to resolve booking-level payment disputes quickly; it does not limit either party’s legal rights.

7. Reviews and content

Customers may leave a rating and review after a completed booking. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience and must not contain harassment, personal information about a third party, or content that violates the Community Guidelines. We may remove a review, or restrict an account’s ability to post one, for a violation.

8. Verification

Companion identity and safety verification is performed manually by our team: a phone-OTP check, a government-ID photograph, and a live selfie captured through the app (never uploaded from a gallery). There is no automated document-matching or facial-recognition vendor in this process — a person reviews each submission and decides whether to approve it. Submitted documents are stored in encrypted storage separate from our primary database and are only ever used for verification, safety and legal compliance purposes.

9. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate any account, remove a listing, or cancel a booking, where we reasonably believe these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or applicable law have been violated, or where necessary to protect the safety of any user. Where reasonably possible we will tell you why. You may close your account at any time from Profile → Account Settings, subject to any open booking being resolved first.

10. Limitation of liability

JodiVibes facilitates introductions and payments between independent users; we are not responsible for a Companion’s or Customer’s conduct at an in-person event, except to the extent arising from our own breach of these Terms or applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, UrbanMove’s aggregate liability to any user arising out of these Terms or use of the platform is limited to the amount paid or received by that user through the platform in the six months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold UrbanMove harmless from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of applicable law, or your conduct in connection with a booking.

12. Dispute resolution, governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the platform that cannot be resolved informally will be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement, seated in Uttar Pradesh, India, conducted in English. Subject to that arbitration agreement, the courts at UrbanMove’s registered office in Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction. [Confirm the specific city/court with counsel once a full registered-office address is finalised.]

13. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for a failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disaster, government action, internet or payment-infrastructure outage, or public health emergency. Booking-specific cancellation in such cases is handled under the Refund & Cancellation Policy’s dispute process.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by the contact details on file before they take effect. Continued use of JodiVibes after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@jodivibes.in. Formal complaints go through our Grievance Redressal process.
