Data Protection & Your Rights

Published to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and the DPDP Rules, which are rolling out through 2026 — verify current requirements with counsel before public launch. This page is a companion to our Privacy Policy, which covers what we collect and why in full.

1. Itemised consent

We ask for separate, explicit consent for each sensitive processing purpose — government-ID processing, background-verification consent, and location-sharing during a booking — never a single blanket checkbox that bundles them together. You can see exactly what you consented to, and when, from Profile → Data & Privacy.

2. Your controls, available today

  • Download my data — an export of the personal data on your account. Identity documents are held in a separate encrypted store and are not included in this export; request them through the Grievance Officer if needed.
  • Request correction — fix inaccurate account details yourself, or ask us to.
  • Request erasure — delete your account and have your personal data scrubbed, as described in our Privacy Policy’s account-deletion section. This is blocked while a booking is still open, and a small set of records (financial/statutory) are kept as required by law.
  • View and withdraw consents already given — each itemised consent, individually.

All of the above are self-serve, available under Profile → Data & Privacy while you’re signed in.

3. Data Fiduciary

UrbanMove Services Pvt Ltd (CIN U49224UP2025PTC229800) is the Data Fiduciary responsible for your personal data under the DPDP Act. Contact: privacy@jodivibes.in.

4. Data Principal grievance redressal

If you are not satisfied with how a data-related request was handled, you can escalate it through our Grievance Redressal process, which is staffed to the same acknowledgement and resolution timelines as any other complaint.

5. Consent Manager

If a Consent Manager framework is mandated for our Data Fiduciary category under the DPDP Rules, integration details — including how to route your consents through a registered Consent Manager of your choice — will be published here before it takes effect.

6. Significant Data Fiduciary status

If UrbanMove is designated a Significant Data Fiduciary under the DPDP Rules (based on the volume and sensitivity of data processed), the additional obligations that apply — including appointing a Data Protection Officer and periodic data protection impact assessments — will be reflected here.
