Community Guidelines & Code of Conduct

Pending final review by counsel before public launch. These Guidelines form part of our Terms of Service.

1. The core rule

JodiVibes exists for platonic companionship at public events — someone to attend a wedding, a work function or a family occasion with, so nobody has to go alone. It is not, and must never be framed as, a dating, escort or romantic service. Any romantic, sexual or dating-adjacent framing — in a profile, in chat, in a booking note, or in person — is prohibited, regardless of whether both people agree to it.

Messages are automatically screened for this kind of framing (and for the off-platform-contact patterns in Section 4). A flagged message is held for a human moderator to review — it fails open into review, never into a silent block, so a genuine false positive is still seen quickly by a person.

2. Meeting in public, always

Every booking must take place at a public venue — a restaurant, banquet hall, public event, office, or similar place with other people around. Private residences, hotel rooms, and other non-public locations are not permitted as a booking venue, and the booking form itself screens for this at the time a booking is created. This is a hard rule, not a preference, because it is one of the platform’s core safety controls.

3. Physical contact and boundaries

Any physical contact is limited to what is ordinary and expected for the occasion — a handshake, a photo together, standing next to each other in a receiving line. “No” is final and immediate, from either person, at any point. Pressuring someone after they have declined is a safety violation, not a misunderstanding, and is actioned accordingly.

4. Off-platform contact and payments

Do not exchange personal phone numbers, social media handles, or arrange off-platform payment before a booking is confirmed through JodiVibes. This protects both people: it keeps the booking, the payment, and the safety tooling (SOS, dispute resolution, reviews) actually in force for the event. Messages that look like an attempt to move a conversation off-platform, or that contain a raw phone number, email address or payment handle, are automatically flagged for review.

5. Alcohol and intoxication

A Companion may decline alcohol at any point, for any reason, with no explanation required. If a Companion judges that a Customer (or anyone else at the event) is heavily intoxicated in a way that makes them uncomfortable or unsafe, they may end the booking immediately with no penalty to their account, and are encouraged to use the SOS control if they feel unsafe doing so in person.

6. Respect and non-discrimination

Harassment, hate speech, and discrimination on the basis of caste, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic are not tolerated, in profiles, in chat, or in person. This applies equally to how Customers treat Companions and how Companions treat Customers.

7. Honesty in profiles and bookings

Profile photos must be real, recent photos of the account holder. Booking details (occasion, venue, duration) must be accurate at the time a booking is made. Impersonating another person, or misrepresenting the nature of an event to get a booking accepted, is treated as a safety violation.

8. Enforcement

Most guideline breaches follow a three-strike model: a first breach gets a warning and, where relevant, content removal; a second gets a temporary suspension; a third gets permanent removal. Some violations skip straight to permanent, immediate removal because they are serious enough on their own:

  • Harassment, threats, or coercion
  • A safety threat to another user
  • Impersonation or identity fraud
  • Payment fraud or attempted fraud
  • Repeated attempts to move a booking off-platform after a prior warning

Any user can report a profile, a chat, or a specific booking using the Report control available on each of those screens. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, and serious safety reports are actioned within 36 hours.

9. Appeals

If your account is suspended or removed and you believe it was in error, you can appeal by contacting support@jodivibes.in with your account phone number and a description of what happened.
